Planning a Halloween Party
If you are in charge of planning a school Halloween party then you are in luck. We have some tips for you that will help your party not only go more smoothly but will also make your party the hit of the school.
Children love to make their own decorations for holidays and Halloween is certainly no exception. So begin early and have the students work on making skeletons, ghosts and monsters for the decorations.
They can draw and cut out jack-o-lanterns and pumpkins along with anything else they can imagine. They will love being a part of the decorating, and may even come up with a few surprises.
Of course, there are some decorations that you will have to provide yourself to add to the sprit of Halloween. For instance, it is a good idea to have a couple of jack-o-lanterns set in place to use for light. Just make sure that you do not bring ones that use candles. Instead you need the electric or battery operated ones for safety.
No party is complete without games and small prizes. You can pick up the small bags of toys that can be used for this at most any retail store for a few dollars. These usually include a wide variety of spiders, vampire teeth, toy fingers, rings, hands and many other items. Remember it is Halloween so you want your games and prizes to reflect that theme to keep them in the mood. You can set up games that use bean bags such as tossing the bean bag, tic-tac-toe, or bowling to be played at the party.
If your school permits, allow the students to wear their costumes to the party, to add to the excitement. If this is not allowed, then providing the students with face masks that they can take home with them will help put everyone in the Halloween sprit. These masks are very inexpensive so there should not be a problem having one for every student.
Add in a few Halloween spooky and funny songs, plus some cool treats and you have the perfect plan for a school Halloween party.
