Easter Crafts
Eggy Mosaics
You can make a lovely mosaic with broken egg shells. Draw a design onto a card. Then paint the shells, crush them into smaller pieces, and glue them down.
Easter Baskets
Cut the top off a well washed milk carton leaving abut 8 cm from the base. Cover the carton with cut up pieces of coloured paper. Half fill the basket with shredded paper. Place some easter eggs on the shredded paper like a nest! Make a handle by cutting a strip of paper and staple or glue to each side. These can also be placed empty beside your child's bed in waiting for an Easter treat.
Easter Egg Tree
Choose a branch strong enough to hold some small Easter eggs. Fill a large can with sand or dirt and stand the branch up in it. A grown up can spray paint the branch and the can. Gold or silver paint is effective. Scatter glitter over the branch before the paint is dry. Glue some ribbon or yarn around the outside of the eggs and hang from the tree. Looks lovely!!!
Easter Fun
Egg and Spoon race
Boil some eggs for the children. Organise a race where they stand at the start line with the egg on a spoon. Then they run to the finish line, trying not to drop the egg.
Easter Egg Hunt
Hide some small Easter eggs in the garden. Then tell the children to go and find them! Make sure you know where they are or how many; you don't want to be finding them months later.
Easter Bunny Trail
Make a Easter Bunny trail for children to follow. Prepare a plate of flour. Dip a soft sponge in the flour and make footprints on your paths or through the house!!!
